New Orleans - 9th Ward
After a high-paced drive from Dallas, we landed in New Orleans, city of flavor… crawfish, jazz, marti gras… All these things come to mind. But after 2005, the memory of New Orleans changed. The horrific hurricane that swept through the city was devastating, and we were wondering how/if the city was recovering.
On the Gumball, seeing as we only land in every stop for a brief moment, we seized our opportunity and met up with Muggs and photographer Estevan Oriol to check out the harder hit areas of the city, most specifically the 9th Ward. I’ll let the images do the rest of the talking:
