Palm Beach International Speedway - Melting Tires
Next stop was the Palm Beach International Speedway for a chance to burn serious rubber. Not only in burnout terms… it must have been 110 degrees on the track, tires and brakes were melting. Luckily, only one crash, a Gumballer took a wide turn, hit the grass and slide into the tires, turning his Jag into an according but walking away unharmed. I heard him laughing it off later… Gumball spirit.
People were stripping down and speeding up at the raceway, which was owned by two Gumballers who graciously invited everyone down to give it a whirl. Drivers finally got a chance to open it up and let the V12 engines purrrrrr. My personal favorite was watching the Buggati Veyron fly (not drive) down the straightaway. What a beautiful beast.
