Start your engines for the Gumball 3000! PUMA is the official sponsor of the 10th Anniversary Gumball 3000, the 3,000 mile eight-day motorsport rally, featuring the most amazing cars driven by film stars, musicians, athletes, billionaires and motorsport enthusiasts. Following the success of the 2008 rally from San Francisco to the Beijing Olympics, Gumball 3000 goes back to its roots in 2009, with a classic "coast to coast" road trip, from sea to shining sea; Los Angeles to Miami.

Showcasing 120 of the most fantastic cars ever built, including vintage, customised and luxury Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Rolls Royces, Aston Martins and Bugattis alongside America's finest muscle cars and today's 'greenest' hybrid and electric vehicles of the future, the Gumball will create a spectacle for all to enjoy. When the festival comes to town in May 2009 the 'pomp and circumstance' will also be fuelled with custom car displays and the added element of a live music series. Bands will be driving in the rally by day and performing live each night. Expect to see some major headliners and a few guest appearances as the tour unfolds!

As the official sponsor, all of the 120 Gumball 3000 cars will be branded with the official PUMA + Gumball Sticker Kit and each driver will receive an exclusive PUMA + Gumball T-shirt and Limited Edition Speed Cat 2.9 footwear.

The first Gumball 3000 took place in April 1999, when British creator Maximillion Cooper invited 50 of his friends to take part in a 3000-mile party around Europe. Ten years on and things have certainly grown, with crowds of over a million people attending the start last year in London, and a televised and online audience that reached over 60 million in over 150 countries around the world.

Gumball 3000 consistently hits the headlines as 'Cool Britannia's' most unique addition to pop culture, described by Vanity Fair Magazine as 'the most rock 'n' roll car rally ever staged' and famed for its exploits and celebrity participation. The event annually attracts stars including Jackass' Johnny Knoxville, Bam Margera and Ryan Dunn, David 'The Hoff' Hasselhoff, Hugh 'Playboy' Hefner, supermodels Jodie Kidd, Caprice and Tyson Beckford, action sports legends Tony Hawk, Matt Hoffman, Carey Hart, and rock stars including Snoop Dogg, Travis Barker, Jamiroquai and Xzibit!

Incorporating a new 3000 mile route each year, the attraction of the Gumball transcends social barriers, appealing to the adventurer in everyone, regardless of status or wealth. Over the past 10 years Gumball 3000 has been hosted by Kings and Presidents, partied with Snoop Dogg, appeared on the Jay Leno Show, raised awareness for testicular cancer, chartered the worlds 3 largest aircrafts, created untold amounts of 'Jackass' fuelled mayhem, hung out at Hugh Hefner's, and most recently has been invited to work with the United Nations, all through the language of the motor car.
